Front Office

In this department, the students are trained to understand, organize, perform and evaluate the front office functions and various procedures of front office operations and management.

Kitchen

  • Training Kitchen
    The students are trained about the basic knowledge of cooking in first year and will be trained to prepare Indian and International Cuisine like Mexican, Chinese, Thai, Italian, Ice carving, Vegetable carving etc during the course of their studies.
  • Quantity Training Kitchen
    The students are trained to prepare food in bulk quantities. The cuisine is generally Indian and even though it does concentrate on all other cuisines.
  • Bakery & Confectionery
    The students are trained to prepare different types of breads, cakes, chocolates, pastries, pizza, biscuits & cookies etc.

Training Restaurant

An excellent multicuisine the state of the art restaurant with mock bar is set to train the students. The fundamentals of various food services are taught in first year, they are taught various specialized services like wine service, cocktail making, liquor service etc in second year. In final year they are taught to manage the restaurant operation.

Accommodation Operation (Guest Room)

The institute has a suite room (Guest room) similar to that of a five star hotel. The students are trained here of bed making and room cleaning. This department also has a practical lab to train the students about various cleaning procedure.

Spacious Class Room

The Institute is having eight spacious class rooms with all basic facilities.

Computer Lab & Browsing center

The computer lab is equipped with powerful computers, all networked and connected to the internet, with all the necessary software installed. A variety of software of special interest to tourism & hospitality students is available on each computer in the lab.

The computer lab is normally open Monday to Friday from 10:00AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This computer lab is not open in the evening or weekends and is available only to students in the Institute.

Auditorium

The Institute is equipped with air-conditioned auditorium with the capacity of 250 to conduct formal function, Seminars etc.

Girls Hostel

The Institution is having the in-house hostel facilities for girls in the campus itself and accommodates 100 students. The Hostel provides delicious & nutritional vegetarian foods.

Sports

The Institution is having facilities and grounds for both indoor and outdoor games. Students are participating in various competitions like,

Seminars

The Institution conducts National and State-level seminars regularly on specific topics by inviting eminent speakers from different states.

Important Note

Ragging is prohibited as per the decision of the supreme court of India in writ petition No. (c) 656/1998. If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authorities concerned, the accused student will be given an opportunity to explain and if the explanation is not satisfactory the authorities will expel the student from the Institution.

About Library

Library is known as the Information Resource Centre which supports teaching, learning and research and which is the heart of the academic centre with an aim to provide access to information and knowledge. A good Library is an asset to all college. Our college has a very spacious and well stocked library which is well furnished, maintained and equipped with a various of collection books, e-Journals on Tourism and Hospitality and other information resources. TDI library is a repository of printed as well as electronic resources which include: books, journals, CDs/DVDs, e-journals, tour reports, training reports, etc. It works from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm in all working days. It has 10 magazines and 6 newspapers. It can accommodate more than 60 readers at a time in the spacious reading hall. The library is being equipped with internet and Wi-Fi connection for browsing. It offers various useful information services to be utilized by students and staff to the best level.
